FURRIENDS DOG TRAINING
**We are currently accepting new clients for basic obedience training**
*Dogs with complex behaviours will be referred to a Certified Behaviour Consultant*
Furriends takes a force-free and reward-based approach with training. To us, this means we work at our dog's pace allowing them to have a choice, setting them up for success, and rewarding them when they make great decisions. By taking in consideration their internal state and motivations, we can boost their confidence and build a positive relationship with them! We live in a world that is not natural for dogs; They are solely dependant on us and there are tremendous expectations for them to be well behaved in this urban environment. When we can view the world from our dog's perspective, we can appreciate their behaviours, better understand them, and see how our actions impact them. Furriends can teach you to train your dog to have life long skills in a way where they feel safe and everyone has fun!
Furriends Private Training Consultation
$50
A 45 minute in-person consultation is required prior to any private training services. The purposes of a consultation are to discuss the challenges you are having with your dog and to ensure we are a good fit for your training needs. For the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved, Furriends will not accept training requests beyond their experience and skill set. Referrals to other trusted professionals will be recommended.
Furriends Private Training Package
$350
A training package includes 4 x one hour private training sessions with you and your dog at your home. The benefits of a training package is to allow us to address the root of the behavioural issue, solidify fundamental skills, and build off of it to progress the training. After each session, a written summary will be emailed to you, and support will be available to guide you along the way!
Furriends Training Session Add-On
$75
One hour training sessions are ideal as supplementation to the training package. They can be used as refresher sessions or when you need additional guidance to navigate your dog through an ever changing world! A written summary will be emailed to you after the session.

6 Week Puppy Furriends Classes
$300
*Next round begins June 1st, 2024*
Puppy Furriends classes are suitable for all dogs under 6 months of age that have received at least 2 sets of vaccinations. These 45 minute classes will be held at Central Bark Doggy Daycare (2004 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturdays at 11am. We will focus on appropriate dog to dog socialization, basic obedience skills, and human interactions and handling. The purpose of this class is to start you and your dogs off on the right foot in your training journey!
4 Week Teenage Furriends Classes
$200
*Next round begins June 1st, 2024*
Teenage Furriends classes are suitable for dogs between 6 - 12 months of age and have received their full set of vaccinations. These 45 minute classes will be held at Central Bark Doggy Daycare (2004 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturdays at 12pm. We will be focus on advancing the basic obedience skills taught in Puppy Classes and challenging ourselves and our dogs to learn calm behaviour. Completion of puppy classes is recommended but not required. Our goal with Teenage Furriends classes is to build life long skills for you and your dog!
Mature Furriends Workshops
$75
*June 2024 dates TBD*
Mature Furriends workshops are suitable for dogs 1 year and older, and have received their full set of vaccinations. These 1 hour workshops will be held at Central Bark Doggy Daycare (2004 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB) twice a month on Saturdays. Each workshop will focus on one specific skill such as Loose Leash Walking, Recall, Confidence Building, and more!
*Workshops are limited to dogs who are able to be amongst other dogs and humans without showing behaviours of reactivity and over arousal*
